Dear Ruben,
I want to thank you for communicating your wonderful gifts, inspiring and encouraging others to “go for the gold” for all the right reasons. No worthy goal in life comes easily, and your own story as well as the stories you share are excellent vehicles for motivation. In your words and deeds the ring of truth still echoes beyond any event experienced, and it is both humbling and uplifting. If the will to thrive stretches the will to survive, you are a positive example of such drive focused and refined like purest gold.
In appreciation,
Patrick Hunt

Hi Ruben: I was surprised to find an old photo of me from Sports Illustrated in 1984 up on Google, and even more surprised to find out that the image was the one you described as “the Luge Man”. It was taken in training between curves 1 and 2 at the old Lake Placid track. Would love to talk with you about your experiences. Contact me at the email provided above and we’ll exchange phone numbers.
